LET IT GO, LET IT GO

IMG_2695 On May 28th, I left the shop and I traveled all the night on a ferry from the port of Shin Moji to Osaka.
In the early morning I left Osaka directed to Tokyo. Six hours towards north through highway I rarely heard of, like Meihan or Tomei, to reach CURATOR’S CUBE in Toranomon area of Tokyo.
CURATOR’S CUBE is a gallery space that occupies a 5 floors building managed by Landscape Products Co.

This time, from 5/31 to 6/15, I exhibited at CURATOR’S CUBE (CC) my orchids and “rakugaki” (scribbles and graffiti).

I had already exhibited orchids many times, but it was the first time I exhibited and sold my “rakugaki”.
Basically, I write down my “rakugaki” instinctively, something based on what I’m thinking in that particular moment.
Focusing on some words that came out from my head, I wrote about 200 sheets of paper and I stuck them on a white wall that was maybe 3 meters.
It was a sunny day, sandwiched between two bad weather days. A pleasant wind was blowing, making the sheets stuck on the wall flutter. The feeling and the atmosphere was so good and relaxed I wanted to take a nap.
I want to thank all the people who came to visit the exhibition.
Also Central members Futasumata and Tada came in.
As MOGNO6. I’m going to make a similar exhibition in Fukuoka at manucoffee starting from July 23rd. I’m planning to stick a lot of “rakugaki” on the entire walls. I hope to see you there too.
