I’m not an addicted to audio stuff at all, but I’ve noticed the news about the bankrupt of Sansui Electric, so…
Quietly placed behind my desk, there is a Sansui D707X, working together with a pair of YAMAHA NS451 speakers.

The sound source enters and, it could be rock, it could be techno, it becomes gentle, mellow and full, swinging through the air.
For carrying out, I have a digital amplifier with even an high output value and some SR speakers but, compared to the Sansui, even adjusting the equalizer, it cannot produce that harmonious and compact sound. That made me conscious of its solidity and power.
As time changes, we will use more “convenient things”, and doing so, the number of “great things” bound to disappear will increase but, I want to stay in contact with them as long as possible: film cameras, tungsten light bulbs, photographic printing paper, Polaroids, petrol engines, printed matter, and all those things that express themselves through the sense of touch.
