I was invited by Go Fujito to take part in this website, I think it’s an honor.
The next 22nd of August, marking the 25th anniversary of the foundation of Ticrohair, the Imaizumi shop is re-opening after renovation.
The name “ticro” comes from “cyclamate”, a sweetener later discovered to be carcinogenic (it seems it is approved now), but still used in the sixties, en era that was very popular at the time of the foundation (around 1989).
Starting from that, “sweet but poisonous”, it was designed something that coexists although being contradictory, and this became the concept of the shop.
Natural but with personality… Loud but perfectly accustomed…

The new shop highly values the concept of Ticrohair: “soothing but exciting”, “an organic-chemical hybrid”. We intended to design a relaxing space that combines that antithetical dualism, like a modern art gallery you can find in London or Paris.
We used hungers as lights, containers for shampoo booths, old drawers for counter, and so on, we created our original furniture reconstructing existing things under the concept of the 3 R’s (reduce, reuse, recycle).

For the staff, “relaxed attitude and hard work” was the theme… (lol)

New menu: carbonated head spa! anti-aging, hair restoration, relaxation, perfect for hair treatment and hair color.

The new shop welcomes men and women of all ages.
