From Milan

5 From the last week I’m in Milan. I’m checking the products, presenting them, doing contracts, studying and observing around. During the time of the year when Salone del Mobile is not open, Milan is a calm and quiet city. I met again Mr. Lapo, CEO of Opinion Ciatti and Ms. Ileana of the press at the showroom. It was a good meeting, talking about the SHOE STOOL and the future.

3 It’s a huge showroom, 700 or 800 square metres.

4 This is the Compasso d’Oro prize from ADI, received in 2004 for Opinion Ciatti product Ptolomeo. The prize was in the office of Mr. Lapo.

7 I visited the exhibition “Trame”, at the now open Milano Triennale, where they presented the SHOE STOOL in copper. It’s a beautiful museum inside Sempione park, run by the municipality.

6 The SHOE STOOL. It’s an interesting exhibition that shows historical objects, artistic objects and products related to copper. The curation was high level, it was a worth seeing exhibition. From Japan, there were also some smoking goods by Jo Nagasaka and Jin Kuramoto.

2 Then I also visited the Triennale Design Museum: it was my baptism into Italian design…

1 A fantastic church I found, walking around in Milan.
