Soya: Japan’s northernmost tip
November 20, 2014 /
Does anybody know where Soya is?
The area located at the extreme north of Japan, that comprehends ten municipalities like Wakkanai and Rebun, is called Soya.
The distance between Fukuoka an Soya is about 2390 Km.
It’s not so easy to visit. What does it look like?
Food must be delicious…
If you’re wondering about Soya, you should definitely go to this event to experience Soya.
While tasting the products of Soya, hokke mackerel, Yuchi potatoes, milk, scallops, cod, salmon roe, deer, I want to talk about Soya with Tsuyoshi Ozaki, director of Soya Party.
Sometimes, the distances suddenly disappear, relationships are tied, and we have a new candidate for the next travel.
I hope it will be the same for this event.
For everybody who wants to make his region know outside, I think this event will be an opportunity to listen interesting talks.
When I visit Wakkanai for the first time, it looked like being in a foreign country. I had the same feeling the first time I came to Fukuoka: it was truly Asia!
Fukuoka and Wakkanai are both area with high quality food. Don’t miss the opportunity to have a glimpse of the extreme north from the south of Japan!
