Atsushi Kamijo Exhibition “1983″

I went to the standing coffee bar TAGSTA, which is very close to my studio, and I visited the “Atsushi Kamijo Exhibition ’1983′” at the gallery in the back of the bar.
For my generation, Atsushi Kamijo is famous for the manga “TO-Y”.
I remember he had a very strong impact on me when I was in the high school, his bold composition and his precise strokes make you think he is a graphic designer.
It’s strange to think that I can look at these original works close to my studio.
I completely went back to the years of high school!
(I got even a autographed catalogue)
“Atsushi Kamijo Exhibitio ’1983′” is open until Sunday 13th of July.
I really recommend it!
The coffee prepared by master Hashiguchi is of course a masterpiece.

Hitoshi Takekiyo
Born in Fukuoka in 1967. Animated film director. Graduated from Kyushu Institute of Design (now Kyushu University). After working in Toei and Kobe Design University, he is one of the founders of Koo-ki Co.ltd. In 2012 he establishes the entertainment studio "Mont Blanc Pictures Co.Ltd.". The short movie he made in 1992, "Banana", is now part of the collection of the MoMA in New York. In 2012, his computer animated movie "After School Midnighters" is released in five country in Asia, and in 2014 is presented in France and Italy in 250 theatres. His works are now an entertainment products for the entire world.
