INDIA…

At this time of the year, students who attend at KPJAYI like us start planning the next trip to India, and we get impatient…
If we don’t apply for the registration three months in advance, we cannot attend the shala.
KPJAYI stands for SHRI K. PATTABHI JOIS ASHTANGA YOGA INSTITUTE, the head school of Ashtanga yoga, it’s a yoga shala located in the city of Mysore, in southern India.

Shala means school. When the shala opens, many people from all the world come to the school.
I don’t like the term “sacred place” (because I know it’s a man-made term anyway), so I don’t use it, but some people say it’s the sacred place of Ashtanga yoga…
I have nothing to show you, because taking pictures inside the shala is forbidden without a special permission, but to me it looks like a unique place, where practicing yoga with discipline every morning, and where finding several humanness and traditional indian culture.

In June, July, and October I’m in Hawaii, but when the Japanese autumn comes, I cannot think anything but planning the trip to India for the next New Year.
It’s not only about yoga, because I’m trying to plan a DJ tour in India, my schedule is really tight… actually, I have a manager in India who since last year has been helping me.
My first son has been in India five times, where he attended the shala two times. I hope he’ll keep studying yoga…

Love India…
